Token creation fees, explained.

Understand token and NFT creation costs on Solana and Ethereum: service fees, gas, Solana account rent and the amount shown before wallet approval.

Before you start

  • Choose the network and token or NFT template you want to use.
  • Check the native-coin service price and keep extra funds for the network transaction.
  • Read the final quote and your wallet’s approval details before signing.

The service fee

This is the RockTheCoin charge for a creation, shown and paid in the selected chain’s native coin. It is collected with successful asset creation. TON settles through asynchronous messages after initialization and token delivery. Token and NFT fees can differ. The pricing page shows the service fee for each enabled chain.

The network fee

Validators receive the network transaction fee. It varies with network demand and the work performed by the transaction. The creator estimates the cost before submission, and your wallet shows the final approval details. Network fees may be charged even when the transaction fails.

Solana account rent and protocol costs

Solana accounts need a rent-exempt balance. Tokens use a mint, token account and metadata account. Core NFTs use a different account structure and may include a protocol charge. These costs are additional to the RockTheCoin service fee.

One transaction approval

Connecting a wallet can prompt for access. The creation itself asks for one wallet approval covering creation and its service payment. Transaction, group and settlement behavior depends on the chain. There is no separate card checkout or payment-provider charge.

Quotes and changes

New quotes lock the native-coin service fee for three minutes. Price changes apply to new quotes. Solana quotes retain their fee and recipient. EVM verifies the quote signature and expiry; changing the treasury or quote signer invalidates older EVM quotes. Stale market rates cannot start a new paid checkout.

Example

Service fee, network fee and rent

The service fee pays RockTheCoin. Gas or transaction fees pay the network. Solana account rent funds the accounts your token needs. The review separates these amounts.

Common problems

The next quote shows a different amount.

Each new quote uses the current service price and available exchange rate. Network gas estimates can also change. Review the new native-coin amounts before approving.

A failed transaction still used a network fee.

Network processing can cost a fee even when creation fails. Check the original transaction and its verification status before starting another creation.
